Free PDF Sewing Pattern For Baby Knit Pants

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing some organic cotton knit fabric from Organic Cotton Plus and wanted to make something adorable and useful. These little baby pants are very fast to make and fit newborns through about 3 months. The pattern is easy to extend a bit if those little legs are too long.

These newborn bottoms are perfect and look to be an easy sew. This is exactly what I was looking for, as part of two baby shower gifts, one boy and one girl. Thank you!!!!

Thanks for the pattern. I just downloaded it. Never attached a leg cuff in the way you describe it. But I reckon this is going to be so much easier on newborn pants. They’re just so small;)
Can’t wait to make one of those.

    Hi!
Thanks for this cute pattern. I have just finished making this pants by myself but am wondering what size this would actually be? Or up to how many months approximately could a baby wear it? My friends baby is one month now but I am not sure if she could still wear it although I assume this pants would grow a bit with the baby due to the belly band…

Thank you for using this pattern! It’s a newborn sized pattern. You could upsize it a bit to fit an older baby. You probably only need to increase the width and leg length by 1″.
