Girls Halter Dress Sewing Pattern – Fiorella

Description

Sew this pretty girls halter dress sewing pattern for sizes 12-18m through 16 years!

The ‘Fiorella’ halter dress ties around the neck. The fitting bodice has two elastic choices for the back. You can make the bodice from knit or woven fabric. The bodice is long which makes this dress have a drop waistline. NOTE: for diapered girls you want to shorten the bodice, otherwise the bodice may ride up as well as when adding belt loops. The tutorial shows you where to shorten the bodice.
The front of the bodice provides a great surface for trims or embroidery, you can choose to shirr the back bodice or add regular elastic. Another option is to add a sash and belt loops.

No serger needed but it’s recommended. No zippers or buttons to sew either!

Dress length: it hits below the knee, dress might reach to mid calf on shorter girls!

Suitable materials: regular woven cotton fabric or any lightweight fabric, or light weight knit fabric (interlock knits is not suitable).

Skill level: basic to intermediate

Pages to print: 37 tutorial pages and 13 for the bodice templates (includes which pages to print per size)
The templates do not have layers.
Note: there are no darts to accommodate the developing girl but the fit is very forgiving due to the elasticized back. You could make the bodice in knit fabric to achieve a more perfect fit.
